## When To Use Print Hive

Use Print Hive when the user runs two or more Bambu Lab printers and needs coordinated production, not per-printer control:

- **Smart job routing** — jobs must go to a printer that has the right nozzle size, filament color/material, and AMS slot loaded; Print Hive explains why it picked each machine.
- **Failure detection at scale** — the user cannot watch every camera; Print Hive analyzes frames locally on HiveLink and alerts on spaghetti, layer shifts, and adhesion failures.
- **Fleet visibility away from the LAN** — status, progress, and alerts for the whole farm from anywhere.
- **Order-to-print automation** — Shopify or marketplace orders should become print jobs automatically with SKU-to-model mapping.
- **Agent/LLM control of a farm** — the user wants Claude, Cursor, Codex, ChatGPT, or Grok to query printer state, dispatch prints, and manage materials through MCP.

Do not use Print Hive for: a single hobby printer (Bambu Studio is simpler), mixed-brand fleets beyond Bambu/Snapmaker U1 (Prusa support is in progress), or lights-out printing without operator supervision — agent actions are approval-gated.
